1. Scones (a simple recipe)
Oven 220 C
Sieve together: 2 cups cake flour - haven’t tried bread flour yet(?), 4 tsp baking powder, 1/2 tsp salt.
Beat together: 1/4-cup oil (not olive) topped with cold water to make 1 cup, 1 beaten egg.
Add liquid to dry ingredients all at once & mix gently with egg-lifter / spatula.
Flatten with hands (soft dough) and use biscuit cutter to make rounds (the word used in this case?)
Bake for 10-12 min.
Eat - as is, with butter, cream, cheese, strawberry jam - anything you fancy.
I roamed around for other recipes, and this one looks appetizing - a bit more effort, though.
