like a bird on a wire

When your own blog is not found on your “favourite blogs to read,” you know it’s time to either turn a leaf or leave.

Leaving is easy. Tearing out a leaf is easy. Turning a leaf is not easy.

I’m the kind of writer whose notebook invariably ends with half the amount of original pages – the first half crumpled in the waste paper basket and the last half waiting to be filled with promises. As I’m not an empty promise kind of writer the situation leaves me with one option – to turn a (new) leaf.
